Connecting with people can bring a sense of belonging, social support, and increased overall well-being. It also helps to form meaningful relationships and can lead to opportunities for personal growth and learning.
Some ways to connect better with others are:

- Be present and engage in the moment.
- Practice empathy – put yourself in others’ shoes.
- Ask open-ended questions – encourage conversation.
- Share personal experiences – build rapport and find common ground.
- Be a good communicator – express yourself clearly and avoid misunderstandings.
- Show genuine interest – be curious and ask follow-up questions.
- Respect others’ opinions and boundaries.
- Collaborate and work together towards a common goal.
- Be yourself and authentically connect with others.
Connecting with other people will give you more opportunities to develop relationships. Some things that you can do to improve your relationships are:

There are many similarities between these two lists. I personally am always trying to connect better with people. Once you have a connection, the next logical step is to start building a relationship.
